mutiple windows boot

Mutiple Windows at boot...

I have had to reinstall Vista a few times and each time I reinstall it, it adds another windows to the list - so I have something like this:
Legacy Windows Windows Windows Windows Windows
Anyone know what command to run or file to edit to remove the duplicate entries?
=-Chris

boot into Vista, and use the command:
bcdedit
bcdedit /? <-- for more information on the parameters and switches.

Next time you install, Chris, you might want to tell it to format the drive. The one speedy thing I find with Vista is that a 120 GB hard drive formats very quickly.

I have a dedicated partition for Vista - the problem lies in the fact that I have a boot drive that is different from the system drive.
Even though I do format the system drive, the boot drive gets another entry for Vista - but thanks to Jabez, I can just use bcdedit to remove those extraneous entries.

You need to use BCDEDIT from a command prompt. Note that it requires elevated privileges, so make sure to start CMD with "Run Elevated".
